Comvita is my go to for session breaks when my throat is tired. The lemon version really helps soothe the throat and cut through any mucus that could be lingering.

Comvita Certified UMF 15+ (Super Premium) Manuka Honey I New Zealand’s 1 Manuka Brand I Non-GMO, Halal, and Kosher Certified I 250g (8.8oz)

This is my serious Go-To when my throat is feeling sore. I take a spoonful before bed and let it sit on the back of my throat for a minute, then swallow. No liquids afterwards. Then I hit the sheets, and literally wake up the next day with no throat pain. Works like a charm for me. But the UMF has to be high to be effective. There are claims Manuka Honey UMF 15+ or higher can cure Strep throat.

You don’t have to spend a fortune on your first microphone and there are several options out there. This Audio Technica is a great starter bundle for the newcomer. Blue Spark SL Large-Diaphragm Studio Condenser Microphone

Producer Dave uses this mic and just loves it. This version requires an interface, but the quality is great. And with great looks and an affordable price, it’s a great mic to have in your studio.

Apogee Duet USB Audio Interface

If you’re not using a USB mic to connect into your computer, you’ll need an audio interface. This Apogee Duet is sleek, easy to use and consistently does the job. I use one for my home studio and for when I’m traveling and able to set up for a week or so. It’s got a lot of parts, but it’s a good workhorse for our needs.

Audient iD22 USB Audio Interface

The Audient ID22 is my desktop studio interface. I love the old style toggle switches and the big main button. Super easy to use and it’s been strong for me the last few years.

Auralex Acoustics Studiofoam Wedgies Acoustic Absorption Foam, 2″ x 12″ x 12″, 24-Panels, Charcoal

Auralex makes a solid studio foam that can be found in many of the best studios in the world. They are easy to put up as well. Remember, these panels are not for sound proofing, they merely absorb sound within your booth so it’s dead. If you still have trucks and sirens outside, you’ll still have noise heading into your mic.

ATS Acoustic Panel 24x48x2 Inches in Black Microsuede

These are the panels I use in my studio and I absolutely love them. They are stylish, assembled well, and not cost crazy. I believe I did my whole studio for about $500.00 and it looks great since you can pick your fabric.
